A local branch of Walmart and IBMC College Longmont Campus have teamed up to offer Walmart employees a scholarship opportunity to attend IBMC College, thanks to the hard work of IBMC’s Longmont Admissions Representative Erica Scardino.

The scholarship builds off Walmart’s tuition reimbursement program with IBMC College doing a matching scholarship, if the employee meets the requirements. The amounts are:

  • If the student enrolls in any Degree program: $1,500
  • If the student enrolls in any Diploma program: $1,000
  • If the student enrolls in any Certificate program: $500

The scholarship is currently available at the Longmont campus, but IBMC hopes to roll out the scholarship to other campus locations if the scholarship does well at this starter campus.

If you would like to know more about the scholarship, contact Longmont Admissions Representatives Erica Scardino at escardino@ibmc.edu or Ashley Chrestman at achrestman@ibmc.edu.

IBMC College and Centennial BOCES in Greeley and Longmont, CO have inked a new partnership to offer high school students the ability to attend classes at the Greeley and Longmont college locations in the coming school year.

“IBMC College is very excited about this partnership with Centennial BOCES. We welcome students, staff and faculty to IBMC’s campuses. We look forward to providing opportunities for high school learners and embracing them into our college culture.” Eric Thompson, Greeley Campus President, IBMC College

Classes for Alternative Students

IBMC and CBOCES Partner to Offer Alternative High School Classes at IBMC’s Greeley and Longmont campuses for the 2016-2017 school year.

Centennial BOCES, an area high school, which provides alternative educational options to high school students, will be offering classes at IBMC College’s Greeley Campus, at 2863 35th Avenue, as well as the Longmont Campus, located at 2315 North Main Street, for the 2016-2017 school year.

This partnership provides the staff and faculty of Centennial BOCES with equipped classrooms and the resources they need to further help enable student success. Students benefit by having the opportunity to learn in a collegiate career training environment.

Each participating school district in Weld and Boulder counties, pays a per pupil amount to Centennial BOCES for the student to attend this program. Centennial BOCES then awards the high school diploma when the graduates are certified and have met all of the graduation requirements specified by the member districts of Centennial BOCES.

To be eligible to participate in the program, students must be 17-21 years of age and attend high school in the district. Typically, the students who prefer this type of educational option, may include those with the following circumstances:

  • Students who are behind in high school credits and prefer to graduate within a year
  • Students who are employed
  • Students who need to help take care of family
  • Students who are not succeeding in a traditional high school classroom environment
  • Students who would prefer to graduate in a year and move on to college, trade school, employment, etc.
  • Non-traditional students (over the age of 21) who want to return to school to earn a high school diploma

Centennial BOCES is now enrolling for the 2016-2017 school year. To learn more, please call Mark Rangel at (970) 352-7404 extension 1122.
